One term, one course, a half-hour call a month. You get the full product free for a year and a direct line to the team. We get told where the evidence is thin — by the people it has to hold up in front of.
Participants help improve the evidence — the published error rates, the records a teacher can check — not automate accusations. Nota gives no score on short text, names no AI, and prints how often it is wrong beside every score. If you want a tool that flags students at scale, this cohort will disappoint you on purpose.
The concrete work: our model has no published error rate for non-native English writing yet — we say so on every result. This cohort is how that number gets measured honestly, with consenting, anonymised, verified human writing instead of a marketing claim.

Selection criteria — all five, honestly applied.
Exactly 25 seats. Applications close 30 September 2026; every applicant hears back by 7 October 2026, selected or not.
- You teach a writing-heavy course this term — any level, school to university — with real submissions coming in.
- AI writing is already a live question in your classroom, not a hypothetical.
- You can pilot Nota in one course for the term and show up to a half-hour call each month.
- You are willing to tell us when the tool is wrong. That is the job.
- We select for spread: levels, subjects, regions — and classrooms with many non-native English writers, because that is where the missing evidence matters most.
