Paste your draft

Bring at least 10 words of continuous writing. Under 50 words, results are often wrong. You can paste from your document or upload a supported file.

02

Check for AI

Nota looks for patterns found in human and AI writing. It gives you a clear result and says when the text is hard to classify.

03

Understand the result

Read the result, then open the details if you want to know more. AI detectors can make mistakes, so a score alone cannot prove who wrote your work.

Questions about Nota

Learn more about how it works.

Will my teacher’s detector show the same result? It may show a different result. Detectors use different models, and all can make mistakes. A Nota result does not guarantee how another checker will classify your writing.
What if my own writing looks AI-written?Keep your drafts and sources, and discuss the result with your teacher if needed. Human writing can be flagged by a detector. A writing history report can provide more information, but it cannot prove authorship.
Is Nota free? You can check up to 2,000 words a day free, with no card needed. Paid plans add more words, source matching and saved AI-check report downloads and sharing. Writing history reports are available on every plan.
Can I check a short answer or a long essay?Nota needs at least 10 words. Under 50 words, results are often wrong. Long texts may be checked only in part because the model has an input limit. The result includes the available details and limitations.
Do you store my draft?Your text is sent to the services needed to run the checks. Source checks temporarily store text while they run. You can choose whether to include your text in a saved report. Read the privacy policy for the full details.
